We Believe...
The Bible teaches that:
- GOD IS CREATOR (Genesis 1:1, John 1:3)
All people/mankind were created by God, and we were created to love Him and serve Him and enjoy fellowship with Him forever. - GOD IS HOLY
God cannot do evil, nor approve of evil (Isaiah 6:3, Revelation 4:8). God is holy, righteous, and perfect. - MAN IS SINFUL
All of mankind is guilty of sin. (Romans 3:23) All fall short of God’s holiness because of sin. (Romans 3:10-12) - MAN’S SIN DEMANDS A PENALTY
God is holy and just and He demands that all sin be punished by eternal death. Therefore, man needs to be saved from his sins. (Romans 6:23, Ezekiel 18:4) - JESUS IS THE SAVIOR (John 3:16)
Man is incapable of saving himself, so God sent His only Son. God provided a Savior: His only Son who paid the penalty for our sin and died for all who would repent and believe in Him. (Romans 10: 9-10; I Peter 3:18) Jesus lived a sinless life, satisfying the demands of God’s holiness. (2 Corinthians 5:21) - EVIDENCE OF SAVING FAITH
A. True faith is always connected to repentance from sin. Repentance is agreeing with God that you are sinful, confessing your sins to Him and turning from sin. (Luke 13: 3,5)
B. True faith loves Christ and seeks after Him,
C. And proves itself in obedience to Christ. (Matthew 7:21; John 14:21; I John 2:3; Ephesians 2:10)
